The Author

My name is Janet Castrejon, and I am a language teacher with extensive experience in adult education, specializing in ESL (English as a Second Language) and Spanish. While living in Puerto Rico, I created www.inglesmundial.com, a website designed to help Spanish speakers learn English. Inspired by its success, I later developed additional websites offering Spanish lessons for English speakers (www.simplifiedspanish.com and www.thespanishminute.com). Teaching is my passion, but I also love the creativity involved in designing educational websites that make language learning more accessible and engaging.

As far as my credentials, I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in Spanish education and a minor in teaching English as a second language. I also have a master’s degree in education from California Polytechnic State University (CalPoly) in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educational Technology. I hold a California teaching credential (in Spanish education and bilingual education) and an authorization in Computer Concepts and Applications. I also have a TESOL Professional Certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) which I obtained from the University of California in Santa Barbara.
